Holly Rochelle Williams

Owner & Instructor

With my passion I have created a career from, and built a business around.

I began dancing at the age of three and haven’t stopped since. Training began at Sutcliffe school of dance in Longridge, working through the IDTA grades in ballet, contemporary modern jazz and tap. This progression continued and upon leaving high school, I continued to study at Runshaw College for two years gaining a diploma in performing arts and an A level in Dance.

To further my career and development, I studied further at Phil Winston’s TheatreWorks where i gained the knowledge and technique to further myself in the dance industry. Achieving two further diploma’s in dance teaching (ballet and contemporary modern jazz).

Since leaving Phil Winstons I have worked professionally with numerous choreographers as a professional dancer/performer in many shows around the world.

At 23 I decided to make a leap of faith, developing my own dance school, ‘HR DanceWorks’.

Years on, HR Danceworks trains 6 days a week, 6 hours a day with two studios running simultaneously.

I teach; Ballet, Contemporary Modern Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Commercial, Acro, Musical Theatre, technique class, strength and flexibility class, heel class, dance fitness and level 3 & 4 diploma for dance teaching.

With a steady business I now look again at building my knowledge even further in dance and developing my career once more.

I have set myself personal objectives, that in the next five years I plan to become an examiner within the IDTA.

I have recently passed licentiate Modern Jazz and level 4 Tap, both with distinction, now currently working towards licentiate in ballet, tap & theatre craft.

I am honoured by each and every family who entrust me with the development of their young dancer at such early stages in their dance development.

Scarlet Butler

Owner & Instructor

I have been training with HR DanceWorks for over 8 years.

Before dancing I was a very shy, introverted girl with no hobbies that I loved. At the age of 14 some friends from high school invited me to a dance Lesson at HR DanceWorks. The thought of starting dance was very scary for me however it is one of the best decisions I ever made. Since then I have been able to express myself in a way that I couldn’t before.

Because of the relationships I made with miss Holly and  other students I am now a much more confident and motivated individual.

I left hight school with good grades and went to Blackpool sixth form to study psychology and health and social care. During college I had my first first professional job as a magician’s assistant in the evolution of magic show. Even though I loved being on stage as it is the place I feel most confident, I was still unsure on the path I wanted to take after college.

I applied to Salford university and was offered a place to study sports rehabilitation. Even though I was excited by the offer my heart wanted dance. I felt very lost at this time as my friends around me knew where they would be by the end of the summer is I was still unsure. After a lot of deliberation and knowing that I had the support from Miss Holly, and the HR family, I went with what makes me most happy.

I trained professionally at HR DanceWorks and within the first 3 months I undertook exams in intermediate contemporary modern jazz, level 3 and level 4 diploma in dance teaching which I completed to a hight standard. I am currently training to take more professional exams such as licentiate modern and ballet.

Alongside of this, I teach private tuition, ballet, contemporary modern jazz, technique, commercial, lyrical and strength and flexibility. I hope to inspire students of all ages and encourage them to follow their dreams as performers.
