Bambini Ballet (Ages 3-4)
Ballet is the foundation of all dance. Our Bambini Ballet class introduces the very basics of ballet to our children, helping with co-ordination, balance and posture. It is essential for growth and dance development.
Diddy Dance (Ages 2-3)
A class which focuses on different rhythms and beats in music and how the children can move to them. It is filled with lots of wiggles, shakes, jumps and claps which helps our children build confidence and discover how their bodies move to different music.
Tumble Tots (Ages 2-4)
A class which focusses on the very basics of gymnastics. Concentrating on flexibility, strength and co-ordination whilst learning basic forward and backwards rolls, bunny hops, cartwheels and handstands.
Ballet (Ages 5+)
The foundation of dance. Our classes work to the IDTA syllabus, this gives the children the opportunity to take exams slowly working themselves through the grades, progressing in performance, technique and style. It improves on self confidence and is a great way to keep a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Modern Jazz (Ages 5+)
Modern Jazz is fun, your child will learn to develop many different movements, there are lots of different rhythms and musical styles. The classes are structured to begin to prepare the physical strength and flexibility to further their dance skills, the children have the opportunity to work as part of a team, in partners and alone. The classes are exciting and great fun, the children have the opportunity to take exams through the IDTA.
Tap (Ages 5+)
Tap is rhythm, rhythm is tap. It introduces the children to different tempos, beats and highlights in music. The classes are structured to encourage the children to be confident in themselves and their movements. They have the opportunity to work as a team, in partners and alone. Examinations are optional through the IDTA.
Musical Theatre (Ages 5+)
This class is a combination of dance, drama and song. The children learn about various different musicals old and new. The class begins with the learning of the chosen song, the children sing all together but also are given the opportunity to have a solo spot in the performance, once all the children are familiar with the song lyrics we then begin to add dance movements to the piece along with acting roles and characterisation. Before we know it, we have an all singing, acting, dancing performance.
Commercial (Ages 5+)
Commercial refers to a dance style/ routines that have been adapted to live or recorded performances such as TV shows, concerts, music videos, and obviously commercials or adverts. Commercial is a new style of dance, It has aspects of street dance, hip hop, Jazz and even ballroom!
Lyrical (Ages 5+)
Lyrical dance is the combination of both ballet and jazz, the style is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong emotions. It is a ‘feel good’ type of dance and a great way to build confidence within the children as a group and as a soloist.
Acro Dance (Ages 5+)
With inspiration from gymnastic floor work and rhythmic gymnastics, this dance style incorporates acrobatic movement into elegant flowing routines, with creative, expressive lifts and poses. Requiring strength, flexibility and technique, Acro Dance produces inspiring performances for the dancer and audience.
Technique (Ages 5+)
Good technique will ensure a dancers longevity, prevent injuries, build strength and flexibility and refine movement quality. All of which provide technically skilled dancers with the ability to dance using correct body placement and alignment and beautiful lines. Technical skills, including: action content (eg travel, turn, elevation, gesture, stillness, use of different body parts, floor work, transfer of weight) dynamic content (eg fast/slow, sudden/sustained, acceleration/deceleration, strong/light, direct/indirect, flowing/abrupt)
Strength & Flexibility (Ages 5+)
Our strength and flexibility classes are tailored to build our dancers in both muscle and elasticity, this is crucial for dancers wishing to accomplish good alignment, control, stamina, muscular endurance and overall high-performance in both dance and acro.
Private Tuition (2+)
Private tuition is available to all children wishing to progress in all aspect of theatre training; Dance, Acro, Conditioning & much more.
